HYETAL - Neon Speech, SOUL MOTIVE

Synth driven dubstep wonk from Hyetal racking up the latest Soul Motive drop.

This Bristolian producer has been sprinkling his bright and shiny synthlines around

the scene recently, including a track on the Mary Anne Hobbs comp and an ace Shortstuff

hookup which got picked up by 2562 and Jackmaster respectively for recent mixes.

‘Neon Speech’ is an effervescent example of electronica mixing with post-dubstep rhythms

craftily nudged for a squashed effect, while ‘Gold Or Soul’ on the flipside shifts with an

upswinging nu-garage feel etched with 8-bit melodies to entice fans of Guido or Martin Kemp.

HYETAL - The Last Time We Spoke, Formant

Blue and moody dubstep tech from Bristol’s Hyetal.

The new signing to Formant delivers two tracks of deeper twisting dubstep schooled

in the styles of Headhunter, Peverelist, Scuba or Forsaken with heady tropical atmospheres

on ‘Armour’ made heavier with bulging subbass an metallic dub chords and smoky

vibes on ‘The Last Time We Spoke’. Smart.
