MRS JYNX - The Standoffish Cat, Planet Mu

Beautifully retrogressive and faithful IDM/Electronica from Manc producer Mrs Jynx aka Hannah Davidson with her debut album dutifully released through the home of IDM, Planet Mu.

The first thing you will notice about Mrs Jynx’s music is the remarkable similarity to classic works from Mike Paradinas, namely Tango ‘n Vectif, but taken as a compliment this means Mrs Jynx has tapped into a quintessentially English well of pastoral melodies and tripped harmonic structures that it’s really hard to not feel some affection for.

I could go on referencing a ruck of IDM and electronica producers but it seems futile because this is simply classic IDM of the highest order, if you’re into this stuff you’ll know exactly what to do.
